Your browser

Chrome or Edge on a computer talks to your trainer, power meter and heart-rate strap over Bluetooth โ€” nothing to install, nothing to update. Open the app, pick your devices, ride. The session lands in the same account as the apps.

Open app.wattlog.pro โ†’

Safari and Firefox cannot reach Bluetooth. On iPhone, iPad and Android, use the app.

Windows and Linux: ride in Chrome or Edge today โ€” native apps are on the roadmap.

Browser can't find your trainer?

Which browsers work?โ†“

Chrome and Edge on macOS, Windows and ChromeOS work with nothing to set up. Safari, Firefox, Opera and Vivaldi have no Web Bluetooth at all โ€” there, use the app.

I'm on Linuxโ†“
Chrome on Linux keeps Web Bluetooth behind a flag.
  1. Open chrome://flags/#enable-experimental-web-platform-features.
  2. Set it to Enabled.
  3. Restart the browser.
  4. Make sure BlueZ is 5.41 or newer.
I use Braveโ†“
Brave switches Web Bluetooth off by default.
  1. Open brave://flags.
  2. Search for โ€œWeb Bluetooth APIโ€.
  3. Set it to Enabled and restart Brave.
Chrome shows no devicesโ†“
  1. Check that Bluetooth is on.
  2. On macOS, allow your browser under System Settings โ†’ Privacy & Security โ†’ Bluetooth.
  3. In Chrome or Edge, open Settings โ†’ Privacy and security โ†’ Site settings โ†’ Additional permissions โ†’ Bluetooth devices, and make sure app.wattlog.pro isn't blocked.
  4. Close anything else holding the trainer โ€” Zwift, TrainerRoad, or the WattLog app itself: a trainer accepts one connection at a time.
It's a work computerโ†“
Company policy can block Web Bluetooth in Chrome and Edge, and no flag overrides it.
  1. Ask IT whether Web Bluetooth is disabled by policy (you can check at chrome://policy).
  2. If it is, use the WattLog app on your phone or tablet,
  3. or ride from a personal computer.
I reloaded the page mid-rideโ†“

The ride keeps running on the server. The page asks you to pick your devices again โ€” one click each โ€” and then carries on where you were. No browser can reconnect Bluetooth without that click.
