Where can you
run WattLog.pro?

WattLog.pro connects to your trainer over Bluetooth two ways: from Chrome or Edge on a computer, with nothing installed, or from the native app for macOS, iOS and Android.

Supported now

Supported

Chrome or Edge

Any computer running Chrome or Edge โ€” Windows, macOS, Linux or ChromeOS. The browser connects to your trainer, power meter and heart-rate strap over Bluetooth with nothing installed.

Safari, Firefox, Opera and Vivaldi have no Web Bluetooth. Linux needs one flag enabled; see below.

Supported

Mac

macOS 11 (Big Sur) and above, on Apple Silicon only (M1, M2, M3, M4). Intel Macs are not supported. The app connects directly to your Bluetooth trainer.

Every build is tested on macOS 15 (Sequoia) and newer โ€” that's the version range we can vouch for.

Supported

iPhone & iPad

iOS 15 and above. Use WattLog.pro without a laptop at all โ€” the app connects directly to your trainer over Bluetooth.

Supported

Android

Android 9.0 (Pie) and above. The app connects directly to your trainer's Bluetooth โ€” no laptop required.

Native app in the works

In the browser

Windows PC

Windows 10 (build 1903) and above. You can ride today in Chrome or Edge โ€” nothing to install. A native Windows app is still in development; sign up to hear when it lands.

In the browser

Linux

Ubuntu 20.04 LTS and derivatives. You can ride today in Chrome, after enabling chrome://flags/#enable-experimental-web-platform-features and with BlueZ 5.41 or newer. A native Linux app depends on demand โ€” if you're a Linux cyclist, let us know.

What about Apple TV or Chromebook?

These devices currently don't support the native app WattLog.pro uses for Bluetooth. We're investigating options, but there's no ETA โ€” the gap is the Bluetooth connection.

If your setup is unusual, drop us a line โ€” we'd rather know what people actually have than build for hypothetical users.

Can I use it in a browser?

Yes โ€” and you can ride from it. Chrome or Edge on a computer connects to your trainer, power meter and heart-rate strap over Bluetooth with nothing installed; every browser can review your data at app.wattlog.pro.

Safari and Firefox have no Web Bluetooth, so pairing a trainer there needs the app. Same on iPhone, iPad and Android: browsers on those devices cannot reach Bluetooth, and the app runs its Bluetooth in the background where a browser tab would be suspended.
